TOP TEN FINISH IN THE 2024 SUPERCARS STANDINGS đ
Nick Percat has completed a fantastic return to form during the 2024 Supercars season, finishing the year with eighth place in the Drivers Championship standings in his debut season alongside the Matt Stone Racing crew.
Following two highly challenging seasons, Percat made a wholesale change to join the tight-knit MSR crew in 2024, intent on reviving his career and proving that the South Australian still had what it took to be a top driver in the category.
After 2024, any questions have now been put to bed, with the #10 Bendix-backed entry featuring up the front of the field throughout the season, including two empathic race victories in a highly-competitive year of racing.
Race wins at both the Australian Grand Prix and Tasmania proved that Percat was still plenty capable behind the wheel, only needing the right pieces of the puzzle, and a car with the philosophy to suit, to come together and allow the unlocking of his full potential.
Adelaideâs racing featured a come-from-behind drive of sorts on Saturday, with Percat qualifying in 19th place, then driving his way through the field and up into 14th by the time the 78 laps concluded.
Entering the shootout on Sunday, the popular South Australian qualified the #10 in ninth place, and would again charge his way through the field, finishing up in fifth place to conclude his 2024 campaign.
With the Adelaide results, Percat finished the 2024 Championship in eighth place overall, and having signed a long-term contract with the MSR crew during the year, Percat will be looking for more success with the team after a new breath of life entered his career this year.
